Global Communities is seeking an Intern for the Spring Semester to learn about its community engagement program in Moline, Illinois. The Intern will work with a four-person team to learn how to implement, manage, and support a project that focuses on empowering the residents of the Floreciente neighborhood in Moline, Illinois to be able to access more resources to improve their quality of life. This is an unpaid internship and the Intern will volunteer their time according to the requirements of their university to fulfill either graduation or credit requirements. This time will be during regular business hours at the Global Communities’ office in downtown Moline, Illinois.
The Intern will learn about all aspects of nonprofit management including programming, administration, finance, outreach, communications, and performance valuation. To facilitate this learning, the intern will assist with database and performance management, program communications and outreach to stakeholders and community members, and program reports to donors. The Intern will work closely with all staff members in the Global Communities-Moline office and participate in staff, community, and stakeholder meetings.
