As the Specialist, Talent Management & Organizational Development (TMOD), you'll be at the heart of initiatives that drive our employee experience and organizational growth. In this dynamic position, you’ll support key projects such as the annual Employee Engagement Survey, Performance Management, Talent Calibration, and the Employee Advisory Council. The role requires someone with a broad background in human resources, recruiting, or talent management/training, ready to make an impact and help us build a high performing team and culture. 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Responsibility Area: Employee Engagement Survey

  • Own the end-to-end employee engagement survey cycle under the guidance of the Director, TMOD and Senior Manager, TMOD.
  • Oversee survey preparation, communications plan, and organizational updates.
  • Develop data visualizations summarizing key data trends for broader organizational consumption.
  • Coordinate follow up actions as appropriate including focus groups, trainings, workshops, and other organizational activities.
  • Manage relationship with vendors and 3rd party service providers

Responsibility Area: Employee Advisory Council

  • Serve as support resource for the Employee Advisory Council, backstopping the Sr. Manager in their absence.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, focus groups, interviews, conference room booking, and ordering food and branded items/swag.
  • Monitor EAC projects and initiatives and maintain all deliverables and products on SharePoint.
  • Identify ways to disseminate information about the EAC across the global organizational workforce.
  • Serve as back-up interviewer when needed.

Responsibility Area: First Line of Support

  • Develop strong relationships across the organization to serve as first line of support for Performance Management, Talent Calibration, Succession Planning, Employee Engagement Survey, and Employee Advisory Council questions.
  • Maintain and update library of talent management policies, procedures, SOPs, and templates.
  • Prepare FAQ documents and support implementation and execution plans.
  • Oversee expense reporting/reconciliation and vendor management as appropriate.

Responsibility Area: Training and Development

  • Review all TMOD training materials, communications, and documentation to support version control, accuracy, and formatting requirements.
  • Plan and schedule training activities and maintain communication with broader organization.
  • Track training participation, attendance rates and completion rates.
  • Support pre and post survey design and administration, and track trends/patterns for future trainings.

TMOD Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Collect and organize data related to talent management activities, such as turnover rates, performance metrics, and promotion trends.
  • Analyze talent management data to identify patterns on workforce trends and opportunities.
  • Create regular reports and dashboards for leadership to support decision-making in talent management.
  • Ensures data integrity and consistency within talent management systems and tools with support from broader TMOD team.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to talent management initiatives, such as succession planning and employee retention.

POSITION SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position may require travel up to 20 percent.
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline and a minimum of four years of related work experience or a minimum of eight years of related work experience.
  • Previous work experience supporting a Talent Management or Organizational Development organization is preferred.
  • Please share any HR certifications that you hold as well.

Location and Work Schedule 

This selected candidate can be based in San Diego, CA or Silver Spring MD; Ghana, Kenya, Guatemala or Honduras. Candidates must be authorized to work in their preferred country without any restriction.

 

This role is on a hybrid/telework schedule. The selected candidate is expected to work at least twice as week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) from either our San Diego or Silver Spring office and the remainder of the week from an approved remote location.

 

Salary and Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is between $72,006 - $90,008. Final salary will be based on several factors including qualifications, geographic location, experience, and internal equity. Global Communities provides a comprehensive benefits package; please note that this position is not eligible for allowances.
